This is a great activity for beginners, families and experienced alike. Our goal is to provide a leisurely, fun, and educational experience. We have all kinds of interesting stories about the wildlife and our island. We'll even let you in on the secrets about the locals favorite places to eat.
We often catch blue crabs, shrimp and many interesting varieties of fish as a great ending to our tours. Our kayaks are easy to paddle and completely safe and comfortable. Both single and double kayaks are available. We are one of the only tours of any kind that depart from our own private access to the water.

The Yacht Club of Hilton Head Island was founded in 1971 by a dedicated group of sailors and is the oldest yacht club on the island. We are a boating club and a social club. Members come from all walks of life and live on the island and off the island. We share a passion for being on the water and the laid-back island life style. We are an all volunteer club.
The primary purpose of the club is to provide activities to members that are fun and enriching. We do this by providing a variety of boating activities and a dynamic social calendar.
Members are good neighbors on the water and on the land. We care about the health of our waters. We are grateful to live on Hilton Head Island and to enjoy our very special environment.

The South Carolina Yacht Club opened on July 1, 1989 with an event attended by 700 guests in black tie. It was a beautiful evening. A night of nights on Hilton Head Island. Over the years, Leslie and JR Richardson have worked together to create a club that provided a casually elegant ambience, fine culinary experiences, and a warm, friendly staff. The South Carolina Yacht Club has been a special project for them. The South Carolina Yacht Club members are from all over the Island, the Lowcountry, across the United States, and around the world. The South Carolina Yacht Club is a "safe harbour" for her members.
